SharedCountdowns — Privacy Policy

SharedCountdowns is a shared countdown and calendar app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

What we store

When you use the app, the following is stored on our backend (hosted by Supabase) so it can sync between the members of your groups:

• The countdowns you create: title, date, icon (an emoji or a small photo thumbnail you choose), color, notes, and category.
• The display name you enter for each group, and the groups you belong to.
• An anonymous account identifier created automatically on first launch. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact details.

What stays on your device

• Reminder preferences and notification schedules.
• Appearance settings (theme, colors, language).
• Calendar import: if you choose to import events, the app reads your device calendars locally. Only the events you explicitly select are turned into countdowns and synced.
• Photo icons: if you pick a photo, a small thumbnail is created on your device and stored with the countdown so your group members can see it. The original photo is never uploaded or accessed again.

What we don't do

• No advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
• No access to your contacts, location, or photo library beyond the single photos you explicitly pick.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Sharing within groups

Countdowns marked as shared are visible to all members of the group they belong to. Countdowns marked private are visible only to you. Anyone with a group's invite code can join that group, so share codes only with people you trust.

Data deletion

Deleting a countdown removes it for the whole group. Leaving a group removes your membership. To request full deletion of your data, contact us at the address below.
